Does my child need their own Apple account?
No. HopOff works with the Screen Time passcode already on their phone, or with Family Sharing if you use it. Setup takes a few minutes and you do it once.
Can my child just delete the app?
The setup walks you through locking that down with the Screen Time passcode. If Screen Time access is ever switched off, or the phone stops checking in, you are told straight away.
What happens when they run out of points?
The apps stay hidden. They do a task, you approve it, they buy more time. Nothing opens without a parent's approval somewhere along the line.
What is free?
The free plan covers 1 child, 1 device and 1 blocked app, with no tasks or shop. The family plan opens everything, with 7 days free first. If a plan ends, everything you set up is kept and comes back when it starts again.
What do you collect about my child?
A first name and an age band you type in, the tasks they finish and the time they buy, and what their phone needs to run the controls. No location, no messages, no browsing, and their Screen Time data stays on the phone. The privacy policy lists all of it in plain English.
Which devices?
iPhone and iPad on iOS 17 or later, for both parents and children. An Android version is not planned yet.
